M-Atelier, part of the M3 group, has supplied custom-fitted furniture to 234 apartments at Bart’s Square in East London.
Barts Square is a mixed-use quarter in London that has undergone a large redevelopment project. The multi-year urban regeneration—consisting of homes, office spaces, and shops—brings new life to a once-forgotten area of the city.
Employed by Helical Bar, CCL, and McLaren Construction, M-Atelier was tasked to develop, detail, and deliver 733 individual pieces of tailored furniture for the apartments - including bespoke wardrobes, kitchen units, and full-heigh walnut veneered interior doors.
In addition to the custom furnishings, M-Atelier also industrialised an innovative pivot hinge system for this project – designed to allow doors to open 180 degrees. This innovation allows Barts Square residents to conceal technology within a TV unit, maintaining a luxurious look and feel whilst keeping practicality front of mind.
The pivot hinge is now available from M-Atelier.
